“MATNESS 2024”: A Retrospective:

As we look back on the 2024 College Wrestling Season and the LAUNCH of Wrestle MATNESS, we can’t help but smile.

We had always enjoyed the week in March that many have aptly dubbed “March MATNESS”, especially once we created a fun Bracket Competition for our friends to play along with us. That group of “MATNESS OG’s” got together again this year but this time in a brand new format, Wrestle MATNESS– our HUB for our fun little challenge. That meant this year, we were able to share our enthusiasm with over 1,000 new friends.

The anticipation was mounting as we got closer to NCAA’s and, thanks to our absolutely amazing developers, we had a chance to test the product on Conference Championship weekend predicting the Big Ten Tournament. We worked through a few hitches, but the test went smoothly enough to know we were ready for LAUNCH!

At the NCAA’s, Wrestle MATNESS was well represented in Kansas City and on our Overall Leaderboard. The CEO of our company was able to grab (3) of the TOP 12 overall scores. As for me, I will be forever kicking myself for not sticking to my guns–I mean, how do you not take Vito??? Nonetheless, it was a magical weekend for Wrestle MATNESS as we successfully enhanced the competition and got our name out there.

Lastly, we received great feedback and added to our list of “Future Features.” We will not be able to fulfill every request but just know that we are dedicated to improving the product and experience year over year. In 2025, we are focused on adding tournaments to our portfolio. Soon, we will list and alert the wrestling community of upcoming events where we all can test our knowledge. Stay Tuned!
